National Lottery Funding is coming to Laurel’s Wood

We are so excited to announce that we’ve been awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for our new woodland activity area project! This is a huge step forward in our mission to make nature more accessible to children with autism, ADHD, and wider additional needs.

With this funding, we’ll be transforming an unused part of our woodland into a safe, inclusive space where these children can thrive. Even more exciting, participants from Everton in the Community and The Inclusive Hub will be involved in the design process to ensure the space meets their unique needs, benefitting the wider community as well.

We’ll also be running a programme of bushcraft and forest school sessions for these incredible young participants over the next two years!

It’s an amazing start to the year and we’re ready to toll up our sleeves and get going, with lots of exciting work ahead as we prepare for spring. We can’t wait to see what we create together!
