Andy Lewis Bushcraft
Andy Lewis Bushcraft is a well-established business offering expert bushcraft courses, survival training, and outdoor education. With years of experience, Andy provides high-quality, hands-on learning, helping participants connect with nature and develop valuable skills.
Andy first discovered Laurel’s Wood while searching for a local venue for his bushcraft sessions. What began as a simple venue search quickly grew into a deeper involvement with the CIC’s community initiatives. Andy began running sessions for local schools, charities, and community groups, becoming an essential part of the CIC’s educational and wellbeing efforts.
Andy says…
“Working at Laurel’s Wood has been an absolute game-changer for me. It has allowed me to do the work I love right here, close to home, instead of having to travel long distances to the mountains. The beauty of this space and the community atmosphere make it the perfect environment to run my bushcraft sessions. What’s more, the opportunity to combine my experience and passion for education with the mission of the CIC has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve been able to help children and adults alike discover the immense value of the natural world, all while being part of something that brings tangible, positive change to the local community. It’s a privilege to work in such a unique and special place.”
Balance Bike Buddies
Balance Bike Buddies is a weekly woodland balance bike class designed for 2-4 year olds. The course is instructed by British Cycling Coach Dave.
Dave says…
“Laurel's Wood represents the perfect learning environment for toddlers on their balance bikes. The network of woodland trails we use ignites a spirit of adventure in our young riders! The excitement of exploration and discovery helps to create a truly positive connection with their biking, which is our USP. The superb management of the woods by the CIC allows for a professional and safe environment for all our outdoor classes.”
